Ashley Carmen, LMFT
This container is led and hosted by Ashley Carmen, LMFT, licensed psychotherapist, founder of the Psychedelic Guide Network, and a passionate leader in the evolving field of psychedelic medicine. Ashley brings over eight years of experience supporting individuals recovering from addiction, trauma, and emotional challenges. Her path shifted when she recognized the limitations of conventional pharmaceutical treatments and began exploring the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine and holistic therapies.
Ashley has trained with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in MDMA-assisted psychotherapy and the School of Consciousness Medicine in psilocybin facilitation, rooted in Mazatec traditions. Her approach is informed by clinical rigor and spiritual integrity, and her mission is to bridge the best of both worlds.
The creation of PGN was born from Ashley’s vision to cultivate a collaborative, peer-based network that brings together licensed professionals and sacred practitioners. Through PGN and this mentorship program, she is helping usher in a new paradigm, one that respects the lineage of medicine traditions, disrupts the pharmaceutical mindset, and prepares guides to serve from a place of presence, power, and personal integrity.

Maria Sophia brings a unique blend of clinical and spiritual experience to her mentorship work:
Maria Sophia holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, grounding her in psychology and therapeutic frameworks. After beginning her career in the corporate world, she pivoted into spiritual leadership and healing practices. Since 2012, she has trained extensively in meditation facilitation, Chinese energy healing, Usui & Holy Fire Reiki, and Master Plant Dieta work. She is also a Certified Death Doula, an End-of-Life Psychedelic Care Coach, a Prep & Integration Coach, and formally trained in Authentic Relating and Sound Healing. In addition to her spiritual and therapeutic training, she brings hands-on clinical experience as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician—making her uniquely equipped to bridge the clinical and the ceremonial with compassion, presence, and integrity.
Maria Sophia bridges rigorous Western training with deep spiritual and energetic practices. Her presence in this container supports a holistic, embodied transition into psychedelic facilitation.
